In America it is socially desirable to be physical 

as a muscle bound hulk 

or a human dynamo who wins with fists of steel 

a hitman for the Mafiosi 

Navy Seals - Green Berets - or American sniper 

to destroy the bad guys 

with Superman - Spiderman - Tarzan or Popeye.
